Dear Pieter,

I would like to thank Dr. Garbino for sharing his very interesting article and the results of the research done at ILSL (LML, August 30, 2016). It increases our knowledge of the peripheral neuropathy of the lower limbs in leprosy, and may help us to prevent function loss and foot ulceration.

I have a question. When a significant nerve function loss was found, what was the subsequent plan of action? Was any nerve decompression done to restore function and if so, what were the results?

With kind regards,

Willem Theuvenet
